The Faculty Success Initiative strives to promote faculty success in finding collaborators, communicating impact, and reducing burden by automating high-quality information to various digital touchpoints. It is comprised of four interrelated efforts highlighted below.
Introduce resources and guidance on a new website to help faculty optimize their digital presence with FIU Discovery and reduce the amount of time spent maintaining the same scholarly productivity data across various platforms within and beyond FIU, such as ORCID, Panther180, and SciENcv.
Introduce resources, such as FIU Discovery and Scival, on a new website to help faculty find collaborators within and beyond the university.
Encourage faculty to seek external and internal opportunities to be recognized nationally and internationally and ultimately enhance their scholarly reputation. A new faculty awards site, located at https://facultyawards.fiu.edu/, has been created to help faculty find suitable opportunities in alignment with their discipline and career goals. The site will be enhanced in the future to include additional notable awards identified by each area and also to spotlight past honorees.
Spearhead a discipline-level discovery process to identify best practices and solutions to help faculty optimize their digital presence in disciplines in which scholarly productivity data is not automated.
